Troubleshooting

Why does AI give wrong information about my brand?

Short answer
Almost always because the wrong information is findable and the right information is not — an outdated price on a directory, a stale description on a profile you forgot, or a competitor's page describing you inaccurately. Models reconcile conflicting sources by favouring what appears most consistently, not what is most authoritative.

Find the source before fixing the symptom

Ask the engine directly where it got the claim. Browsing engines will cite; that citation is usually the culprit and is often a page you had forgotten existed.

Old profiles on directories and review sites are the most common offenders, followed by press coverage of an earlier version of your product.

Correct at the source, then make the truth loud

Update or remove the incorrect page wherever you control it, and request correction where you do not. Removing a wrong source is more effective than publishing a rebuttal.

Then make the correct fact unmissable: on your own site in plain text, in structured data, and repeated identically across every profile. Consistency is what resolves the conflict in your favour.

See where you actually stand

We ask AI engines the questions your buyers ask and show you whether you were named, who was named instead, and which sources they cited. Free.
