What is entity SEO and why does it matter for AI?
Strings versus things
If your brand shares a name with a common word, a person, or another company, an engine has to guess which one a page refers to. Every wrong guess dilutes the evidence attached to you.
Resolution comes from consistent identifiers: the same legal name, founding date, category, and description everywhere, plus sameAs links tying your site to the profiles and records that describe you.
What strong entity signals look like
Organization schema with sameAs pointing at every authoritative profile you control. An about or company page stating the legal entity, location, and founding year plainly. Identical descriptions across every directory and social profile.
Where they exist, Wikidata and Wikipedia records anchor the whole thing — but consistency across the profiles you already control gets you most of the benefit.
See where you actually stand
We ask AI engines the questions your buyers ask and show you whether you were named, who was named instead, and which sources they cited. Free.

It helps, but it is a consequence rather than a tactic. Wikipedia and Wikidata are core reference points for the knowledge graphs AI engines reconcile entities against, so a well-sourced entry strengthens recognition. Creating one for a brand that does not meet notability standards will fail and can damage your standing.
Indirectly, yes. No major AI engine has confirmed that structured data is a ranking input, but schema makes a page's facts unambiguous — what it is, who published it, what it is about, and which entities it refers to. That resolves the reconciliation problem engines face, and unambiguous pages get misread less often.
Decide the canonical version of every core fact, publish it plainly on your own site in both text and structured data, then propagate it to every profile you control and request correction everywhere you do not. Inconsistency is penalised because a model that finds three answers will confidently state none of them.
